Just noticed some new tabs and a dropdown for accessing other Google mobile pages on my Google Reader for iPhone page. Nice.

I never used the old "blue button" ones because they acted like a frame, and wouldn’t let me bookmark my "tags" page in Reader directly, which is where I like to start. Now I can. Excellent!

- Apparently a large chunk of Brazil is off the grid. Itaipu hydro plant is down. Yikes. Cuiden-se, amigos Brasileiros!
# - Is Itaipu still offline? Largest hydro plant in the world. 9 Brazilian states and 10s millions w/o power. I used to live hours from there. #
- Surprised Wikipedia doesn't have anything yet on the Itaipu power outage. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itaipu #
- Oh, cool! @usina_itaipu is the dam's official Twitter acct. It's in Portugeese, though (mine's rusty, but workable). #
- Apparently the failure wasn't at Itaipu, but with the transmission system. The dam is generating lots of power, but can't send it anywhere. #
- Transmission to the Paraguay side was quickly restored, but is still down for the majority of their capacity in Brazil #

- Browsing Black Friday apps is dangerous. Just bought Planet Earth on Blu-Ray for $27 (the BBC one w/David Attenborough): http://j.mp/3J8yb5 #
- @krynsky Heh. Planet Earth is a must own, and $27 (instead of $80) is a killer deal. Also, Attenborough > Sigourney Weaver. Enjoy!
in reply to krynsky # - @krynsky PS3 Netflix streaming works like a charm. Most are 720×480, but I tried an HD title (720p), and it was perfect.
Love it so far. in reply to krynsky #

I don’t like it. How can I go back?
I don’t think you can go back to the old version. At least, I don’t know of a way.
