It's been a pretty fast pace. But I've been taking time to rest and relax, too, and my hosts here, Welles and Richard of ISN China, have been absolutely stellar at showing me the town, including the interesting stuff that most tourists probably miss, and some great food, too. :-) You'll love the Flip. It's a great little camera. I've been using my little pocket Aiptek in the same way as the Flip is meant to. All of the video I've posted so far has been from that. I haven't gotten to editing the HDV from my Canon - I don't have enough disk space to do a lot of that here (HDV takes up 60GB per hour, and I filled up 12 1 hour tapes!). I'm exhausted and I haven't even been lugging equipment, shooting, editing... You're herculean! I'm amazed the the quality of the photos -- from a phone! And I agree with you, video is heavy lifting. To keep it fun, I just got a Flip Video Ultra (for me, one for my daughter). For about $140, you turn it on, click a button and go with it!
