Was going to whine about having a 7:30 AM meeting (international), until I heard @psteinb had one at 6:00AM. :- O #
Neil Gaiman and his publisher put his 6 year old book, American Gods, online for free. Sales of the book went up THREE HUNDRED PERCENT. #

Cory Doctorow and Charlie Stross have a history of making their books available electronically for free. I’ve bought multiple from each. #
@jezlyn Yes, I agree that authors/publishers need to know that making books available online for free is a HUGE benefit to them. #
@influxx How it translates to sales? "American Gods", which came out in 2001, saw a 300% increase in sales since they put it online. #

I love how Ps Express (is that how we’re going to abbreviate it?) can log in and grab photos from Facebook, Picasa, etc. We can has Flickr? #
@ahockley Yes, I see the Flickr/Picnik and Ps Express/Picasa alliances here. But I’d still love Ps Express + Flickr. That’s what APIs is for #
Sadly, I don’t see a histogram/levels view anywhere in Ps Express. Not surprised, but it would have been nice to have. #

In an all day team face to face meeting with the ISN team. @billpearson just showed a really cool video. #
We’re doing an unusual (for Intel) but very cool exercise: everyone was to buy (or borrow) a book, then tell us why they chose that book. #

Today is the 3rd birthday of Intelpedia, the Intel-wide internal wiki I created. Celebrations taking place worldwide at Intel sites. #
Intelpedia has several “children”, wikis at other companies that I’ve helped people set up. It’s contagious! #
I never kept track of what companies I’ve helped with wiki stuff. Am thinking it would be nice to keep track, see how they’re progressing. #

Come by the Ignite thing at the library if you want, but I haven’t been advertising it, because it’s a really small space. #
I had visions of flooding the library with the throngs of people who seem to materialize whenever I mention Ignite Portland. #

I know people love OmniFocus for tasks, but I have 2 problems with it. 1) it’s not “in the cloud”, and 2) it’s really freaking expensive. #

@AndruEdwards Yeah, but then I have to screw around with MobileMe, WebDAV, or Bonjour. RTM is a native internet app. That’s my gold standard #
@sumwan I *believe* that RTM lets you share/assign tasks, but I’m not sure. The thing I love most is how well it fits into my Google life. #
