- I played with PocketTweets again last night after @greghughes recommended it. It’s come a long way. Compares favorably to my fave, Hahlo. #
- Blog post: photo highlights from my beach getaway with @rachelbancroft last weekend, to Lincoln City: http://tinyurl.com/22t4se #
- @jcjdoss Thanks! I’m pretty chuffed with some of the photos myself.
#
- @influxx Hey, man, the Crocs are my signature. There’s got to be something remarkable about me, right? I’m the guy with the Orange Crocs.
#
- @Skawtnyc Who’s Mario Batali? Is he that Vegas chef dude that wears Crocs? He’s totally biting my style.
#
- @Skawtnyc Also, I seriously doubt I’m 100 lbs ligher than ANYONE. But thanks.
#
- @Skawtnyc Pfft on this Mario. I scoff in his general direction. Besides, is there a SIGNIFICANCE to his orange Crocs? There is to mine!
#
- @Skawtnyc Pish posh. White on Orange 4 Life, baby. Mine are RSS Evangelism shoes. I tell people that, and they say "What’s RSS?" Bingo!
#
- @verso Like what kind of gnome pictures? Orange Crocs around the world? I’m on it!
#
- @Skawtnyc You get it! They’re my RSS feet. Feet? Feed? Get it? Ha!
#
- @harrisja bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon MUSHROOM MUSHROOM!
http://tinyurl.com/p2tm #
- @harrisja You could make a Pipe that filters your Twitter feed, removes any tweet with "bacon". Start here: http://tinyurl.com/ytccje #
- For my followers who want Orange Crocs Around the World, remember that I’m going to Shanghai, China, in a week. Can Shanghai handle it?
#
- For members of the Orange Crocs Around the World Posse: http://tinyurl.com/2duzwg It’s just the beginning.
#
- @JefftheGreat Don’t make me go and register a domain name. It’s a sickness I have. Must. Resist. Crocsaroundtheworld.com!
#
- @lyzadanger Like Adobe Kuler? http://kuler.adobe.com/ #
- @verso Ooh! I like crocspotting.com. You guys are killing me! I don’t have time for another side project, but this would be so fun!
#
- @verso Yeah, I know. that’s what’s killing me. It would be relatively easy to do, and that makes me want to do it even more.
#
- @verso The crocspotting.com seed is planted. Now, to see when I’ll have time to get to it.
#
- @marusin Thanks. but the inevitable has happened. The wheels are in motion already…
#
- @jcjdoss You’re the one who bought crocspotting.com? I just tried to register it, and was cursing whoever was parked on it. D me? #
- Hey, stats junkies. Want something like Google Reader Trends for your Gmail? Check out Mail Trends: http://tinyurl.com/2u37kh #
- @jcjdoss No worries - I appreciate it!
Did you get my D message? I need you to set up a CNAME in DNS for it.
#
- @NickStarr You used to be able to just tack "/export" onto the end of your Bloglines URL to get an OPML. No idea if that still works. #
- @shanselman Here’s how I gave it context = "Site Stats that I care about as a blogger": http://tinyurl.com/353mke #
- @jcjdoss Just edit the DNS record, and set up a CNAME pointer to point to "soup.io" (without quotes) #
- @jcjdoss Use crocspotting.com. If you can redirect http://www.crocspotting.com to crocspotting.com that would be perfect. #
- In a meeting with the web marketing people - the folks who run blogs.intel.com. Whoo fun!
#
- I’m having a really difficult internal struggle with the fact that "social media" is now an "industry", and marketers are all over it. #
- @annierodkins Oh, I’m already poking the beehive, you can rest assured of that.
#
- I think social media has jumped the shark. It’s "mature". I want to find the new frontier, what’s new, and leave social media to marketers. #
- It’s kind of like the web. It was wild, wooly, and innovative for years. Then ads came. It didn’t kill the web, but it got really boring. #
- @jcjdoss Don’t worry about it. It may be automatic with GoDaddy. We’ll see! Thanks again!
#
- @annierodkins Don’t worry. I’m not going anywhere. I’d be bored to death if I worked at a company where everyone "gets it".
#
- "Have you noticed that, in itself, money is kind of one-dimensional and boring? What else can we talk about? " http://cluetrain.com/ #
- @jcjdoss No, it’s powered by soup.io #
- @jcjdoss http://www.soup.io it’s a tumbleog/lifestreaming service. Pretty slick. #
- Twitter InstaResearch Poll: What the heck do YOU think a MID is? Not just defining the acronym, but what IS it? What is it NOT? #
- @Jerry_Makare Marketing meetings ALWAYS get me riled up. You’ll detect that pattern if you keep following me.
#
- Heh. @Britopian called me a "strong personality". He’s so polite!
#
- @Britopian No matter how it may seem at times, I’m on your side. Just trying to help Intel avoid making dumb mistakes.
#
- Need Yahoo Pipes and/or Flickr help! How do I get it to output larger photos in the RSS feed? #
- @ahockley I tried that. What I’m doing is Flickr RSS -> Yahoo Pipe to filter certain words -> Soup.io. Flickr direct to soup=big pics. #
- However, something that I’m doing in my pipe causes the pics to be small on soup.io. I fear it’s some special way soup treats Flickr feeds. #
- Tangentially, does anyone know how to get Flickr to generate an RSS feed of a search result (not a tag)? #
- @Johnmont I’ve tried a search on the site, and using the "Flickr" object in Yahoo Pipes. #
- @jcjdoss That works, but returns even tinier images.
#
- Ongoing InstaResearch: Chime in on the whole "what the heck is a MID" question here: http://tinyurl.com/34a9f6 #
- @LorenHeiny Thanks! I’ve updated my post with your responses.
#
- I just discovered how to delete individual imported posts from soup.io. Awesome! I’m loving this service more and more.
#
- Putting the finishing touches on a fun little (not so secret) side project. Going to let it steep overnight, I’ll "launch" it tomorrow.
#
- @shanselman You’re welcome! Looking forward to reading your take on blog stats. #
- Everyone go read @shanselman’s great post on blog statistics, and which ones you should really care about. http://tinyurl.com/2hxtmp #
