- Giving a training on “Social Tools for Engineers” to my boss’s boss’s staff in about an hour. Nervous. #
- This “Social Tools for Engineers” training will evolve and be given many more times, but this is the first. Hope I don’t suck!
# - @Alsymer Thanks. It’ll eventually be public (I’ll share the URL when it’s ready). Maybe it will be helpful!
# - Training in boss’s boss’s staff meeting over. Only got through 25% of my stuff.
Lots of discussion, though, which was good. Will go back # - Did you know that IE6 can’t view a Google Docs presentation? At all? And did you know that IE6 is the only browser Intel supports?
# - @billpearson @mediumtall Wow, sounds like ISF is a snoozer. #
- @billpearson You going to see @charleneli later? Tell her I said “hi!”
# - @kellyrfeller @billpearson Go to http://hashtags.org/tag/isf/ to see the #isf hashtags. Or do a search.twitter.com (which works better, IMO) #
- @amybarton Thank you. I didn’t even get to the good stuff! (Search feeds, Twitter, FriendFeed, etc.) #
- @amybarton I’m sure you’ll get the “honor” of seeing the rest of it before SES.
# - @kellyrfeller They’re not “normal” in the sense that they’re not “mass market”. They’re otaku geeks out on the edge of the influence curve. #
- @trhuseby Didn’t record this session, as it’s not baked yet. But I’ll make a recorded version available at some point. Thanks!
# - @bobduffy No way to create a group on Twitter without serious hacks. I used to use “with_friends” (as did tweetpeek.com). It got disabled. #
- @bobduffy FriendFeed room + imaginary friends works for groups. So does search.twitter if you don’t have too many people. #
- @billpearson I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m a rock star. Also, I Am Iron Man.
# - Picked up a Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 book light for my Kindle last night at Powells. Works great, but 3xAAA batteries = heavy. Good for bed. #
- Great. Just when Twitter was running fast and smooth, they have to go rearrange all the furniture and screw things up again.
# - Whoa - Hector Ruiz stepped down as CEO of AMD: http://tinyurl.com/5jke4k #
- And now Twitter is back to the old look. I don’t know what they’re playing at, but Twitterrific stopped working. Is the API down again?
# - Sometimes I wish I could live in @wilshipley’s world: http://tinyurl.com/6qstcd
# - Favorite quote this week: “Passion is a great way to lubricate the machine of serendipity.” (Jon Udell). Applies all over the place!
# - Oops. That should have been “Passion is a good way to lubricate the engine of serendipity.” Not machine. #
- FriendFeed seems really quite lately. Is it because Twitter became usable again? #
- @blogan What’s the state of K2’s compatibility with WP 2.6? Is it safe yet? #
»
- Whoa! I just discovered that emailing a photo from iPhone no longer resizes it to 640×480 (now it’s 800×600 - better, but not original). #
- See here for a photo on Flickr that was emailed from my iPhone, but is 800×600 (instead of 640×480): http://tinyurl.com/6dzb9p #
- @lunarobverse Emailing a photo strips EXIF data, including location. Only way I know to preserve is to sync to a PC, then upload from there. #
- @lunarobverse I’ve tried all the photo uploading apps, none preserve the location info. I have high hopes for @frasierspiers’ Flickr Export. #
- @jkendrick That Acer link is a dead end, and I can’t find anything about it on jkontherun.com. Embargo? Post get unpublished? Aliens?
# - The O’Reilly Kindle books are now available! http://tinyurl.com/5tyuqn Just sent samples of all the ones I haven’t read to my Kindle. Yay! #
- The Intel Software Network web devs cornered me in a room and grilled me about the future of ISN’s blog platform. Good times.
# - I’m a bachelor this week (@rachelbancroft’s at her mom’s), and I’m not taking very good care of myself. Still at work. Didn’t eat lunch.
# - For the record, I’m trying to find someone internal to address the whole “Intel stole EcoGeek.com’s Logo” issue. Got info? Let me know. #
- At Powell’s Beaverton. Long day. I don’t know how, but my phone has full blue dot GPS lock in this large building. Very cool.
# - @kellyrfeller Glad it’s fixed. I should have given it benefit of the doubt, but stuff like that has been done intentionally before. Sorry. #
- @geekygirldawn I’m not going to say anything either way, but I’m eager to see where Intel’s various communities fall in that list.
# - I love that so many Intel Software Network meetings end up using Twitter as a backchannel. Meetings are so much more fun with a backchannel! #
- @billpearson Have you ever heard me sing? Singing to Midomi on my iPhone doesn’t count.
# - @robteix And yet, our meetings are among the most effective I’ve ever participated in.
# - Does anyone know if the new Hillsboro Library (on Brookwood) has wifi? #
- Ah, the Hillsboro Library DOES have wifi. Should have Googled first: http://tinyurl.com/5776eb #
- @adamd made an AWESOME iPhone Inventory tracker. Check it out if you’re still looking for one (or just to admire): http://tinyurl.com/6e842g #
- @Britopian LOL are you going to preface all of your marketing tweets with that warning? Maybe I should try that.
# - I still have one really irritating problem with my iPhone 3G. Occasionally, Safari will roll over on its side, no matter how I hold it. #
- It’s like Safari wants its belly scratched, so it’s rolling over. It doesn’t care if it irritates me. Reboot fixes it. Bad accelerometer? #
- Going to work from the library this afternoon. I have some stuff I need to concentrate on, uninterrupted, and that just can’t happen in JF1. #
- Plus, I love the idea of being surrounded by books, words, ideas, and knowledge. Even though I’m anti-dead tree, I still love libraries.
# - @StevenWalling Yeah, but these are the ONLY problems I’m having with it. It’s otherwise perfect, much better than ANY other phone I’ve used. #
- Man, the new Hillsboro Library is great. Very geek friendly. I’ll be coming here more often. http://tinyurl.com/5nwxe8 #
- Don’t forget the tweetup tonight with @charleneli, at the Governor Hotel (where Internet Strat. Forum is). 8:30pm http://tinyurl.com/56dfte #
- I’ve spent the last 6 hours creating a Presentation in Google Docs. That is one impressive web app. I’ll never use PowerPoint again.
# - It’s looking like I won’t make tonight’s tweetup with @charleneli. Too much work to do, and I’m not feeling great. Have fun without me! #
- @charleneli Aw, man! Cancelled flights suck. But at least you’re still going to make it to PDX. Everyone, the tweetup is cancelled. Sorry! #
- Haircut done, getting food at Daphne’s, then over to Powell’s to get more work done. #
- I am STUNNED at how good Shazam is. It not only nailed the Kelly Clarkson song at the hair place, but it got the Greek pop song at Daphne’s. #

- Grabbing a Jamba Juice for breakfast. Mango FTW! #
- Watching a Summize search for “Nintendo” is just like being at their E3 press conference. Animal Crossing Wii yay! http://tinyurl.com/6o9lrr #
- And I didn’t even notice that Summize has already been rebranded search.twitter.com. Cool! #
- @jmoriarty I dumped Loopt because 1) It doesn’t DO anything, and 2) they’re acting kind of scummy with SMS spam: http://tinyurl.com/5fkdwt #
- @jmoriarty Loopt won’t SMS spam YOU, it sends SMS spam to your contacts, no way to opt out besides emailing/calling them. Read the last link #
- The Portland Craigslist market for used iPhones seems to have held up OK - still in the $300-$350 asking range: http://tinyurl.com/2dk5cd #
- Restoring my iPhone 3G. Hold me, I’m scared! #
- @ravenzachary Yeah, I expect it to take about the same amount of time as my 1.0 -> 2.0 upgrade. Still a scary time, though!
# - @jmoriarty Hey, how come I can’t comment on your Open Port post? Are you trying to stifle conversation? Don’t make me karate chop you!
# - @queenmarypat I LOVE my iPhone 3G, almost as if it were a tiny, glass-and-plastic member of my family.
# - @ejacqui I was getting MASSIVE delays in most apps when the keyboard comes up. 30 seconds or more. Doing a restore to see if it helps. #
- And my iPhone is back from Restore Land. Had a scary couple of minutes where it couldn’t pick up a cell signal, though the radio was nuked. #
- Wait. Why does iTunes want to restore my phone from backup AGAIN, when I try to sync now? #
- @kellyrfeller Why do I have to register just to post a comment? And why is there nothing on the page that tells me so? Kinda user-hostile… #
- @greghughes I want it to restore from a backup, but it JUST did that, like 5 minutes prior. I’ll let this one run its course. #
- @eriksr I’ve brought all of my iPhone troubles upon myself - messing around, restoring, etc. Majority of people never deal with any of this. #
- @bschlenker Looking for an iPhone game? Get Tap Tap Revenge. It’s free, and awesome! Think Guitar Hero/DDR on iPhone.
# - @eriksr iPhone is light years beyond Windows Mobile in terms of stability (I used WM for years). My probs are because I’m on bleeding edge. #
- Hmm. This second, unnecessary iPhone backup restore seems to be stalled around 50%. Should I intervene, or leave it? #
- As in, the “Restoring iPhone from backup” progress bar hasn’t moved in 20 minutes. How bad is it if I interrupt? #
- I unplugged it. Phone was completely wedged. I forced it into recovery mode, going to try another restore. *sigh* #
- After this restore, I’m NOT going to restore from a backup. Start clean, then sync stuff over. What I should have done in the first place. #
- Plan Restore-but-don’t-load backup was successful. Data synced back over, syncing media now. None of the hiccups I was hoping to squash yet. #

- @theRab I agree no scrobbling in the last.fm iPhone app sucks. But they know my music taste better than Pandora, because I’ve used them more #
- Psst! 30 O’Reilly books are being released as DRM-free ebooks, and headed to the Kindle store today. Yay!
http://tinyurl.com/59re5m # - @bobduffy But when I go to Jeff’s post, not logged in, I don’t see ANYTHING that tells me I can post a comment. It just says “No comments.” #
- Been waiting for a Kindle version of Devices of the Soul, so I can finish reading it. Might finally finish Wikipedia: TMM, too. #
- Portvangelists take note: Charlene Li tweetup, Wed at 8:30pm at the Governor Hotel bar. Spread the word! http://tinyurl.com/6l75ud #
- @charleneli says if you bring your copy of Groundswell, she’ll sign it, and buy you a drink.
@turoczy, how bout a blog post?
# - Created an Upcoming event for the @charleneli tweetup tomorrow night. Spread the link, would you please? http://tinyurl.com/5vgz66 #
- See what Twitter is saying about tomorrow night’s @charleneli tweetup, and who’s going! http://tinyurl.com/6dxxuy #
- @turoczy I figured I had to act fast if I was going to beat you to it. Actually, I don’t care, as long as it was on there somewhere.
# - @justinkistner That’s because @turoczy is going to be out of town tomorrow night. He gets a pass this time.
# - My iPhone 3G has been behaving MUCH better after restoring to 5A347 and not restoring a backup. No freezes/reboots, location working great. #
- @kodachrome22 Haven’t tested reception yet, but I don’t expect it to change. The update didn’t touch the radio firmware. I’ll report, though #
- @bschlenker These are basically the steps I followed: http://tinyurl.com/6onk9x Find where iTunes keeps backups and move em to avoid restore #
- Ooh! My first iPhone app update (Evernote 1.0.1) just came through. #

- Just ran into @leemachen. Nice to meet you in person, Lee! Take me back to Ireland with you?
# - And @mungara is in town, too. Wonder who else I’ll run into today? #
- Attending a marketing meeting (on behalf of my boss, @billpearson), and heard a phrase that made me shudder: “social stunt”.
# - @cvelis I don’t know what a “social stunt” is, but I’m scared to find out.
# - @markgross The reason “legal review is not needed” is because you’re wearing their implant, and they reviewed your talk as you wrote it.
# - @jschultz Yes, I’ve see getsatisfaction.com/intel. I created it. Is anyone using it? It’s been a ghost town for months. #
- Grabbed the Presidents of the USA 10 year anniversary release from Amazon MP3. 26 great tracks, DRM-free, for $8.99? Yes, please!
# - @jschultz Yeah, Twitter works much better for feedback. I subscribe to an Intel search feed on Summize and FriendFeed. Catches everything. #
- I’m really proud and happy about how solid Twitter has been today, via Twitterrific (on the desktop). Just like the old days! Hope it lasts! #
- @jmoriarty @dslanius @billpearson @amybarton I don’t know what marketing meeting you’re in, but it’s probably a good thing I’m not there.
# - @jmoriarty Just make them substitute “email” everywhere they say “blogs” or “social media”, and ask if it still makes sense. Just a medium! #
- @jmoriarty Good. Press releases are MUCH better for discussions, anyway. #
- @samgrover Nope, no 3G at Jones Farm. It’s always been that way. They have repeaters here, but they’re EDGE only, not HSDPA (3G). #
- Going to try a restore on my iPhone 3G, to see if it helps the little issues. @ravenzachary and iPhone Atlas say “yes”. #
- @JeffClavier Wha? Tap Tap Revenge is finally out? /me scrambles to the App Store to d/l.
# - @JeffClavier Looking forward to more from Tapulous! TTR is amazing (the shake gestures, etc.). What’s the chances of licensed songs? #
- @SarahCofer Welcome home! That was a pretty epic trip, there!
# - Hmm. They’re saying that WordPress 2.6 is going to launch tonight. http://tinyurl.com/5rwuz2 #

# - @ahockley a WordPress editor (XML-RPC), like MarsEdit or Windows Live Writer. A blog authoring/editng app. #
- @ahockley The WP admin interface works surprisingly well on the iPhone. Even better with the WPhone plugin. But an editor app will rock. #
- @reidab poolga.com is pretty cool. A little too artsy fartsy for my tastes, but that’s my problem, not theirs.
# - @kellyrfeller Everyone already knows this, but I don’t censor anything. Sometimes my life would be simpler with a brain/mouth filter.
# - Have I mentioned how happy I am that Twitter is healthy again, and Twitterrific works like it’s supposed to? Feel like I’m connected again. #
- @funkatron I would, if ping.fm fit into my tube structure. Blasting my posts to multiple services screws up the delicate syndication I built #
- @funkatron But I still lubs @spaz. The little guy will always have a spot in my heart.
# - Pop quiz, Twitter! Intel launched something BIG today. Without Googling, can anyone tell me what it was? #
- @waxpancake Thanks for that feed of newly released iPhone apps. How does it compare to the one at versiontracker.com/iphone? #
- (I’ll post later with what the big Intel launch today was. Want to leave some more time for more replies to float in. So far, no one knows.) #
- The “big” thing Intel launched today was Centrino 2 (a.k.a. Montevina). Google for more info, because I don’t really know where to send you. #
»
- @mmWine Yeah, it’s a known issue with Twitpic and the iPhone 3G. #
- @jmoriarty Try the urbanspoon app - shake your phone, and a slot machine surprises you with a nearby restaurant. Don’t like it? Shake again! #
- Anyone else’s iPhone just go out to lunch for 5-30 seconds? COMPLETELY unresponsive, UI frozen, then it comes back. Driving me CRAZY.

- #9 in line at the Hillsboro AT&T store. First guy got here at 4:15 AM. #
- Line pic: http://twitpic.com/3jgx #
- Great. Facebook.app just rebooted my iPhone. #
- 6:15 line update: about 20 people in line now. Less than 2 hours to go!
http://twitpic.com/3jow # - Half hour to go! AT&T guy coming down the line, filling out pre-sale sheets. Hope it smooths things out… #
- They just let the first 8 people in. I’m number 9. Not long now! Still undecided on black or white. Want to see in person first. #
- Ha! iPhone not activated yet, but I can still read and post to Twitter from my Kindle! #
- Back in the office and online. My phone’s not activated yet. Bummer. #
- Both Hillsboro AT&T stores only had 40 phones, and ran out of black 16GB first. A friend who wants black was ticked. (cont’d) #
- He went to the Apple Store at Pioneer Place, where they say they have plenty of everything. He’s still in line there. AT&T supply = Fail. #

- Good thing I don’t rely on my phone for important things like, you know, talking to people. Cause it’s been dead for hours.
# - Whoa! I just got an incoming SMS on my phone, and it appears to be working perfectly (calls, wifi, location, etc). iTunes still = FAIL. #
- And I can’t sync yet, so all my data and apps are missing, but my iPhone 3G is alive! Yay!
# - The iPhone 3G feels MUCH better in the hand than the previous one (which was awesome). It’s REALLY, really nice. Almost TOO sensual.
# - Hey, activation started working! I just restored my data to my new phone, and it’s rebooting/syncing now. Almost there! #
- Hmm. There’s a new “Sync Google Contacts” UI in iTunes 7.7 that I don’t think was there before (it was buried in Address Book after 10.5.3). #
- I keep thinking “Man, I’m sleepy!” And then I remember “Oh, yeah. I got up at 4AM.”
# - @RichSPK they’re subtly more curved. It’s hard to see in photos, but immediately obvious in your hand. #
- Wow, the speakers/sound on the iPhone 3G are MUCH better and louder than before. There’s a tiny metal mesh grill on them, too. Nice.

- If Brightkite and Fire Eagle don’t start to use iPhone’s Core Location features, pronto, they’re dead. These new apps (Loopt, etc) are hot. #
- @CecilWalker Wow, you’re right. It was a long time ago that I set up those Intel podcasts. Glad someone’s still using the site!
# - I owe a lot of people replies to Twitter questions, etc. I’ll get to you, I promise. Just swamped with email and other stuff. #
- @glynor http://twitpic.com/3lb6 - @chrispirillo is entitled to his opinion. But he’s wrong.
The feel of the new iPhone is MUCH bette … # - @verso Yay! Congrats! Which one did you get (white or black?) Don’t you just love how it feels? #
- @unclenate I’ve tried to use Loopt, but I can’t figure out how to add any friends, which makes it kind of stupid.
# - iPhone app idea: a speed test app that logs your location, builds a database of real world data speeds. Who’s gonna build it?
# - @Ihnatko What is this “secret” Flickr iPhone web app you speak of? Do want. #
- @kodachrome22 @rigeek I’m getting fewer bars now I’m on 3G, too. Battery’s getting killed, cause the radio’s working harder to get a signal. #
- Getting a weird problem on home wifi (with only 1 or 2 bars of 3G) where it can’t fix my location, even outside where GPS should work. #
- And the whole phone freezes for 20-30 seconds at a time, then comes back. Wonder if Core Location is timing out and blocking stuff? #
- Need a cool new geeky nice looking wallpaper for my iPhone 3G. Give me suggestions? #
- @JoshProStar No, I left those on all the time before. The battery hit has to be coming from the new HSDPA radio and GPSR. Not unexpected. #
- @JoshProStar when signal is low, cell phones crank up the radio power to try to compensate. Low/no signal can drain most phones in hours. #
- I always charge my gadgets at night, so as long as I can make it through one day, I don’t care. Today was unique, usage-wise, being new. #
- @TaxMan45 yeah, but I bet you’ve been using it a LOT more than usual since the update. Apps burn up battery at a good clip, too. #
- @JoshProStar I’m withholding verdict (new vs old). Differences really are subtle for non-obsessed otaku geeks like me. Both are stellar.
# - With that, I’m crashing. Been up since 4AM! G’night, world!

- Poking around in the iPhone App Store, downloading the 2.0 firmware so I can play with some of this stuff before I head downtown. #
- Putting the iPhone 2.0 update on my phone now. “Preparing” takes forever… #
- @jmoriarty Factor in the Intel discount on the iPhone plan price, and it’s a little more appealing. And still cheaper than any smartphone. #
- @jmoriarty re: Intel AT&T discount - You’ve Got Mail!
# - @jmoriarty Basically, the Intel corporate discount didn’t apply to the original iPhone plans, because it was “special”. Thats no longer true #
- @mungara @jmoriarty Intel Exchange support is supposed to be coming. You can bet I’ll be figuring out the details, will share when I do.
# - iPhone 2.0 update done, rebooted, restoring my data now. Can’t wait to play in the App Store! What are the “can’t miss” apps? #
- @mungara @jmoriarty MobileMe is for suckers! $100 a year for stuff you can get from Google for free, plus 20GB storage? Please!
# - Holy crap! OmniFocus for iPhone is $19.99? Ouch! #

- @LeStew oops. Phone was upside down! That’s how excited I am!
# - Pro tip: use “take pictures directly” in Twitterific options. Its off by default. http://twitpic.com/3gah #
- iPhone apps over EDGE is kinda painful. 3G is gonna be WELL worth it (as is precise GPS). #
- The Facebook iPhone app is pretty neat. The Friends view could easily be my full time address book/contacts app. #
- The AIM app would be more useful to me if 1) it used its federation with Google Talk, and 2) if I had more than 2 AIM buddies.
# - Yikes. Twitterrific just rebooted my iPhone…

- @rachelbancroft had an evil-but-hilarious idea: I should wear my “I’m Blogging This” shirt to jury orientation this morning.
# - Arrived early at the courthouse. At least there’s wifi (they were very coy as to whether it would or wouldn’t be available on their site). #
- I take it back. There was wifi outside the courthouse, but none that my iPhone can seem to connect to in the jury room (Washington County). #
- @spaz looks like the first Twitted client with bit.ly support. That was fast!
# - Awesome 80s video on why jury duty is so important. Now, waiting, waiting, waiting to see if I get picked for a trial. #
- @marusin They seem to follow airport security rules here. Didn’t make me take off my shoes, but they did examine a lady’s water bottle. #
- Wasn’t picked for the first case. As starry-eyed as it sounds, I hope I DO get picked. I believe in this process, and want to participate. #
- OH in the jury room: “Facebook is a snobby version of MySpace.” (aside: wish I’d brought headphones to shut out unwanted conversations) #
- Someone just taught “Facebook is snobby” girl how to use Google SMS. She’s ecstatic. You’d think she’d been taught dark magic.
# - I got picked! Lunch now at a little Thai place across the street, then, radio silence. #
- Shutting down for the trial. See you on the other side!
# - Well, the trial got carried over until tormorrow, so the judge came down and dismissed us. Anti-climactic, but nice to get the day back.
# - @corvida No, that means I have fulfilled my jury duty obligation for at least 2 years. The lady’s doing a “stipulated facts” trial tmrw. #
- @jmoriarty Yikes! 9 months would have been harsh. I could have been picked for a grand jury, if they needed one. That sits for 1 month. #
- @verso Egad! I guess that’s one way to get excused from a jury.
# - @jmoriarty @britopian Something scary like murder would have been bad. The case I had was a homeless woman busted for riding MAX w/o fare. #
- When the judge came down to dismiss us, she gave a very detailed explanation of the case (the woman had been off meds, lost it in court) :-O #
- @scottjedwards The trial never happened, and I was excused. The judge didn’t tell us NOT to talk about the case, so I think I’m good.

- @harrisja If you’re not going to iBendOver to AT&T, who are you iBendingOver for now? Cell carriers are all equally slimy.
# - @harrisja Sure you can go month to month with AT&T. You just don’t get the subsidy discount (though I know the joy of being out of contract) #
- @harrisja And at least with ANYONE OTHER THAN T-Mobile, you could, you know, have a fast 3G data network. *zing!*
# - @harrisja It’s unclear whether the App Store will run on jailbroken/unlocked iPhones. Prolly not. I’m sure we’ll know on Friday! #
- I wonder how much money I’ve saved Apple (in support time and replacement hw) with this post? http://tinyurl.com/2csv38 They owe me some $$! #
- @samgrover I had heard that the Intel discount will work on the new iPhone plans (it didn’t on the old ones). I’m very happy for that.
# - Hmm. Will the iPhone 2.0 OS update and the App Store go live on Thursday, before 3G launch? TechCrunch sez so: http://tinyurl.com/594re7 #
- Sorry, @chrisheuer, but I think Social Media Club has Nuked the Fridge: http://tinyurl.com/6godcr
# - @chrisheuer Whoa, I “choose to attack before I understand”? That’s kind of rude. I tried to understand what you’re doing. I don’t get it. #
- @chrisheuer What format would you like to opinion/criticism to take, so that it’s more palatable to you? #
- @chrisheuer WTF is with the passive agressive act, dude? Am I not allowed to express my opinion on my blog if it’s different that yours? #
- Why some people choose to get defensive instead of accepting criticism is beyond me, but this it the world we live in. #
- @chrisheuer You’re choosing to take SMC in a corporate direction. I get that. But it makes me sad. It’s opposite of what I thought SMC was. #
- @kristiewells You say SMC isn’t corporate. I think the BoD news sounds like it could have come from any corporation. I guess we disagree. #
- @clint Darmok and Jilad at Tanagra. #
- @chrisheuer I do follow you on Twitter: http://tinyurl.com/5drhs8 #
- I hereby give the entire internet permission to tell me when I say/do something stupid or wrong. But please don’t attack me personally. #

- @kellyrfeller Cool news (that Dreamworks has chosen Intel over AMD). They join Pixar - Wall-E had a “Rendering powered by Intel” credit.

- @marshallk bit.ly looks like a pretty cool URL shortener. Does it have a Firefox Extension? Right-click TinyURLs is what keeps me with them. #
- @Jerry_Makare When I promise robots, I deliver.

- Hey! Go “Like” and comment on some of my stuff on FriendFeed! I’m starting to feel lonely over there!
http://friendfeed.com/jabancroft # - *cries* I just added descriptions to 110 photos in FlickrExport for iPhoto. Upload failed, now it’s all gone! Help, @frasierspiers!
# - @SarahCofer We haven’t finalized any dates, but we’re looking at November for Ignite Portland 4. Lots of other events to schedule around! #
- Welp, looks like I DO have to go to jury duty tomorrow! Might last through Friday (I hope not! Big plans on iPhone day!) #
- Reading the Oregon Juror’s Handbook: http://tinyurl.com/65xrws I wonder if I’ll get disquallified for anything? My opinions are pretty tame. #
- @steveswrong Each county determines the maximum length of jury service. I think mine is 3 days, unless I’m selected for a Grand Jury, #
- @mattg LOL You give me, perhaps, too much credit, sir.
# - @annierodkins That’s true. If the crime is “Abuse of PowerPoint” or “Twitter Spamming”, I’d have to recuse myself.
# - @reidab Maybe I should tell them that I intend to live-tweet the trial. Think that’d stop them from picking me?
# - Another Kindle essay: Can the Kindle do for books what the iPod has done for music? http://tinyurl.com/5kd7ba Tell me what you think! #
- Looking forward to @frasierspiers’ Exposure Flickr app for iPhone. Geotagged photos “near me”? Yes, please!
# - Also looking forward to FlickrExport Touch, from same. Been sending to Flickr by email, but the pics only to at 480×640, not the full 2MP. #
- I’m hearing rumors that the white iPhone 3G 16GB won’t be available at launch, or will be scarce, but I don’t care, because I want black. #
- @betsywhim I’ll be at the AT&T store in Hillsboro, on TV Hwy. Unless I’m still in jury duty, that is!
