I decided last minute this morning to camp for an iPhone, and I’m number 1 in line at the Hillsboro AT&T store (on TV Hwy, by Target and Safeway). Come by and say Hi! I’ll be posting updates and photos all day, so keep an eye on twitter.com/jabancroft and www.joshbancroft.com.

Surely Intel is not paying you to wait on queue for a phone? Hope that you are being productive. Egads, I can’t say that anything is worth waiting out in this weather for, but hey, it sure better be worth it.

Hope that it lives up to the perceived hype. But does anything, really? Or just another slick marketing campaign by Apple, who will chaching it all the way to the bank? Personally, I am willing to be that the next generation is worth waiting for. But, again, that is just my humble opinion.

I don’t get it. How does one go from posting 10 messages in a row disparaging the iPhone to being first in line for it?

Best Buy opens at 10 am tomorrow. I hope you’ll be first in line at the kitchen appliance section too.

Two very cool free iPhone apps I just discovered and downloaded: I. TV (slick TV listings, via @sourcecode) and Trapster (speed trap maps). #
@jezlyn Yeah, I’ve seen some other TV listings apps that weren’t free, and frankly didn’t sound so hot. I.TV works great so far for me! #
I need a special character to denote “this is a full, feature-length blog post”, like @gruber’s ? on Daring Fireball. Any suggestions? #
Or maybe I should use the special character to denote “this is a linkblog post”, and leave “full blown” posts undenoted. What do you think? #

And now, on the last 1.5GB, Ubuntu decides to stop recognizing my flash drive. Long reboot from DVD, we’ll see if that fixes it… #
