@jschultz There are already two great ebook apps for the iPhone - eReader and Stanza. Stanza can read Mobi books, but not Kindle books… #
What I’m thinking of is a Kindle iPhone app that’s tied to your Amazon account, can download and read the books you buy from Amazon, etc. #
There’s absolutely no reason Amazon couldn’t do a Kindle iPhone app right now, if they wanted to. But only Amazon can do it, because of DRM. #
@RichSPK You’re right, Kindle would have the advantage of the bigger, eInk screen, and battery life. Those can be reasons to upsell! #
And why stop at the iPhone? Why not make a Kindle Reader app for Mac, Windows, Linux, etc. The .AZW format is just Mobi + DRM. This is easy. #

Whoa! I just discovered that emailing a photo from iPhone no longer resizes it to 640×480 (now it’s 800×600 - better, but not original). #

@lunarobverse Emailing a photo strips EXIF data, including location. Only way I know to preserve is to sync to a PC, then upload from there. #

I still have one really irritating problem with my iPhone 3G. Occasionally, Safari will roll over on its side, no matter how I hold it. #
It’s like Safari wants its belly scratched, so it’s rolling over. It doesn’t care if it irritates me. Reboot fixes it. Bad accelerometer? #
Going to work from the library this afternoon. I have some stuff I need to concentrate on, uninterrupted, and that just can’t happen in JF1. #
Plus, I love the idea of being surrounded by books, words, ideas, and knowledge. Even though I’m anti-dead tree, I still love libraries. #

Wait. Why does iTunes want to restore my phone from backup AGAIN, when I try to sync now? #

Hmm. This second, unnecessary iPhone backup restore seems to be stalled around 50%. Should I intervene, or leave it? #
As in, the “Restoring iPhone from backup” progress bar hasn’t moved in 20 minutes. How bad is it if I interrupt? #
I unplugged it. Phone was completely wedged. I forced it into recovery mode, going to try another restore. *sigh* #
After this restore, I’m NOT going to restore from a backup. Start clean, then sync stuff over. What I should have done in the first place. #
Plan Restore-but-don’t-load backup was successful. Data synced back over, syncing media now. None of the hiccups I was hoping to squash yet. #

My iPhone 3G has been behaving MUCH better after restoring to 5A347 and not restoring a backup. No freezes/reboots, location working great. #

The iPhone 3G feels MUCH better in the hand than the previous one (which was awesome). It’s REALLY, really nice. Almost TOO sensual. #
Hey, activation started working! I just restored my data to my new phone, and it’s rebooting/syncing now. Almost there! #
Hmm. There’s a new “Sync Google Contacts” UI in iTunes 7.7 that I don’t think was there before (it was buried in Address Book after 10.5.3). #

@JoshProStar No, I left those on all the time before. The battery hit has to be coming from the new HSDPA radio and GPSR. Not unexpected. #
@JoshProStar when signal is low, cell phones crank up the radio power to try to compensate. Low/no signal can drain most phones in hours. #
I always charge my gadgets at night, so as long as I can make it through one day, I don’t care. Today was unique, usage-wise, being new. #

Just grabbed iTunes 7.7, so I can check out the App Store. Whee! #
