Congrats on the new MBP. Even though I have one of my own, I still find it exciting watching someone else go through their own MBP unboxing. :)

Josh,

The second I read the lines "Time and place are no longer barriers. Technology connects, not separates, us," My heart sunk. I just got the net about 10 days ago in my home for the first time. My boyfriend seems to say "my life is on the net." Only because in the morning I go to class, and when I get home it's on the computer w/net access. I can't seem to get enough before I am pulled away by my kids and daddy.

I just wanted you to know your story to me is the most inspirational news I've ever heard/read.

Thank You,

PS
One other ?, do you use myspace.com or is that basically under your level of wisdom?

Josh,

If I were you I'd hit the Genuis Bar at Washington Square (503-603-9800) or call there and talk to Mike Arace, he's the Lead Mac Genuis and ask what he suggests. If it's a standard build and you purchased it from the Apple store they can replace it immediately, if it's a custom build that's a little more difficult. I'd all.

On another note, I'll tell ya it's really important you double check the software you install as I had issues with 4 HD crashing in about 2 weeks worth of use on my MacBook Pro and we (Genuis guys and I) finally figured out it was because of a piece of software I'd installed that didn't play nice with the Core 2 duo other than tht, I love my computer. I got the 17" wide screen, 200G HD, 2G RAM

Hi Josh! Nice new machine....

It's only an hour to get to the Genius Bar and back home if they can't help, where you can call Apple Care. One hour is worth the fact you won't have a notebook on March 5 if you have to go through the RMA process.
