Josh,

You bring up another great point about running across a feed you want to subscribe to and currently not being able to... that is in the roadmap btw. In the interim you can clip a post and then when you get back to your desktop, you can subscribe. It is not ideal, but it would work for now until this feature is added.

Hey Josh,

Thanks for your input and trust me it wasn't taken personally. You make some great points. The reason I removed the links was because when the user started to navigate links, the browser component started to cache the history causing major memory pressure and ultimately resulting in the application being forced to hibernate. I am working on ways to get that functionality back into the reader and that is now a priority (see, you are making a difference and we appreciate that)!

And you are spot on that this reader is geared toward existing NewsGator users. We made a decision early on that a mobile news reader was most effective as an extension to your desktop/web RSS experience and maintaining state was critical.

If you ever do decide to switch over to NewsGator, I think you would find the sync'ing very cool ;)

Josh, thanks for taking the time to take a look and thanks for being honest w/ your feedback. That is the only way we can make the product better.

<!--%kramer-pre%-->We've been waiting a few months for this and boy, this looks like it was worth the wait! About three months back, NewsGator bought SmartRead and to eventually add this mobile RSS reader into the fold.Josh Bancroft already downloaded it and has a few screenshots posted on Flickr. I can't look at this right now (we're recording MobileTechRoundup and I can't multitask TOO much), but hey, maybe you've got time and could check it out.<!--%kramer-post%-->
