[...] I’m a member of the DualCor Board of Expert Technical Advisors, and just got an update from DualCor’s David Ciccone regarding the DualCor cPC’s wireless capabilities. There’s been a conversation happening in the blogosphere, kicked off by the revelation that the DualCor Windows XP/Windows Mobile device would not ship with any integrated wireless radios. That includes WiFi, Bluetooth, and cellular wireless for phone and data. You will have to add your own peripherals for wireless connectivity. [...]

Bob - those are good questions/issues. I don't think there's ever going to be a device that satisfies all of everyone's needs, but we can always hope, right?

I'll bring those questions up at the first appropriate opportunity, and share what I can.

Josh;
     Help me out here. I've been whining for years to the tech establishment about form. I really liked the form of the old Jornada with its wide screen and nearly full sized keyboard. I would like to see a full featured device like this one in a similar form to the original Jornada.

     Another point on this device specifically is the lack of integrated blue tooth for peripherals and looking at the specs I didn't see cell phone capabilities except through the Type II slot. Is this an audio telephonic device or not? Being not that capable with setup and such, the idea of trying to establish a connection with a network using an add-on card for audio communication just seems daunting.

     Last, I am again complaining about America's lack in services compared to overseas counterparts. For instance, Orange in the UK offers dual line services over a single device. This allows the customer to carry a single device to make and recieve both business and personal calls yet keep the billing separate. Could these folks marry up with a service provider on the provision these types of services are made available?

Alan, no, I don't get paid. Their original offer included stock compensation, which I declined, to avoid any conflict of interest issues.

The whole process was reviewed by my manager, Intel legal, and all of the appropriate paperwork, agreements, and disclaimers are in place.

So, just wondering... Do you get paid for that? If so, isn't that a conflict of interest?
