PocketPCThoughts has a very special place in my heart. It was one of the first sites that became a “check it multiple times per day” habit, until I discovered RSS and syndication. It was actually a big part of the reason I started TinyScreenfuls.com - not that I wanted to compete, but I loved the community that Jason Dunn, Ed Hansberry, and the rest of the gang created, and I wanted to be part of it. It’s still one of the sites that I send new Pocket PC users to for help and news.

And now, they’re podcasting! Just add this RSS feed to your favorite podcatching software.

The Amazon iPhone app has a feature called Amazon Remembers, where you take pics of stuff you want to buy and they match it (like SnapTell). #
If Amazon Remembers works well, it’s going to be a great feature. I’ll try it out later and report results. #
Tested Amazon Remembers by taking a picture of my Kindle. A little while later, I got an email with a match/link. Cooool! #

Apparently, Amazon is using Mechanical Turk (human beings) to match photos taken for Remembers, and not algorithmic matching. Interesting. #

The new Nokia N97 looks like a great device. Funny how everyone compares it to the iPhone. #

@lawduck My “fits in a tweet” netbook recommendation is an Eee PC 1000H or MSI Wind. But there are lots of other good ones. #
@lawduck Worried about size? Eee PC 901 or HP Mini Note 1000 is the way to go. But the HP has a slow 4200 RPM drive, and only 3 cell battery #

There’s going to be a “mini” Ignite Portland at the Keep Portland Weird festival at the Central Library, with a few alumni talks. 2:15PM #
Come by the Ignite thing at the library if you want, but I haven’t been advertising it, because it’s a really small space. #
I had visions of flooding the library with the throngs of people who seem to materialize whenever I mention Ignite Portland. #
Guess what? @jonathancoulton and John Hodgman did not one but two shows in Portland last night. I made it to niether. I’m lame. #
I’m at the Portland Central Library, 3rd floor, if anyone’s looking for me. Ignite “Keep Portland Weird” in 1 hr. #
