The Amazon iPhone app has a feature called Amazon Remembers, where you take pics of stuff you want to buy and they match it (like SnapTell). #
If Amazon Remembers works well, it’s going to be a great feature. I’ll try it out later and report results. #
Tested Amazon Remembers by taking a picture of my Kindle. A little while later, I got an email with a match/link. Cooool! #

And when Amazon Remembers finds a match, it shows up in the iPhone app as well, not just in the email they send you. Nice touch. #
Apparently, Amazon is using Mechanical Turk (human beings) to match photos taken for Remembers, and not algorithmic matching. Interesting. #

The new Nokia N97 looks like a great device. Funny how everyone compares it to the iPhone. #
The N97 will be DOA in the US unless they get AT&T to offer it. For the same or lower price as the iPhone. #
What does the developer ecosystem look like for Nokia? Hard to compete with the 10,000 new apps in six months that iPhone has triggered. #

Today is the 3rd birthday of Intelpedia, the Intel-wide internal wiki I created. Celebrations taking place worldwide at Intel sites. #
Intelpedia has several “children”, wikis at other companies that I’ve helped people set up. It’s contagious! #
I never kept track of what companies I’ve helped with wiki stuff. Am thinking it would be nice to keep track, see how they’re progressing. #

There’s going to be a “mini” Ignite Portland at the Keep Portland Weird festival at the Central Library, with a few alumni talks. 2:15PM #
Come by the Ignite thing at the library if you want, but I haven’t been advertising it, because it’s a really small space. #
I had visions of flooding the library with the throngs of people who seem to materialize whenever I mention Ignite Portland. #

I shot video of Google Earth/iPhone/train trip. The tracking was uncanny. Like augmented reality, out of a scifi story. So awesome! #
