I figured when I posted about Hotmail upgrading my storage to 2GB, it was happening across the board. Turns out that, as far as I can tell, I’m one of the first that got upgraded (neowin.net didn’t post about it until yesterday).

I got linked again from www.glitchnyc.com. I’m wondering how people are finding this site? Not that I’m complaining, mind you.

So what could a scammer actually do if they phished your Twitter password? Spam your friends? Read your DMs? Doesn’t seem very lucrative. #

It seems that one wouldn’t have to compromise a Twitter account to see who follows, then phish. Though they’d have to figure out emails. #
Just answered my own question. They’re real DMs, not fake emails. Which would require a compromised acct. So sorry, @evacatherder! #

Is this really me? We should all come up with a code word so our followers can authenticate us. Mine will be the brand name of my shoes. #
This Twitter phishing thing is purely social, right? No tech exploits. So how would the tech solutions being suggested (OAuth, etc) help? #
There is no fix for social attacks beyond education and careful security practices on EVERYONE’s part, says I. #

Reading Offworld costs me money. Just bought Zephyr (draw snow pictures, same world social features as Ocarina) and Passage for iPhone. #
Puzzle Quest, which I love, is finally out for iPhone, but at $10 for the first episode (1/3 of the game), I think I’ll pass for now. #
