What I’m thinking of is a Kindle iPhone app that’s tied to your Amazon account, can download and read the books you buy from Amazon, etc. #
There’s absolutely no reason Amazon couldn’t do a Kindle iPhone app right now, if they wanted to. But only Amazon can do it, because of DRM. #
@RichSPK You’re right, Kindle would have the advantage of the bigger, eInk screen, and battery life. Those can be reasons to upsell! #
And why stop at the iPhone? Why not make a Kindle Reader app for Mac, Windows, Linux, etc. The .AZW format is just Mobi + DRM. This is easy. #

Whoa! I just discovered that emailing a photo from iPhone no longer resizes it to 640×480 (now it’s 800×600 - better, but not original). #

@lunarobverse Emailing a photo strips EXIF data, including location. Only way I know to preserve is to sync to a PC, then upload from there. #

Hmm. This second, unnecessary iPhone backup restore seems to be stalled around 50%. Should I intervene, or leave it? #
As in, the “Restoring iPhone from backup” progress bar hasn’t moved in 20 minutes. How bad is it if I interrupt? #
I unplugged it. Phone was completely wedged. I forced it into recovery mode, going to try another restore. *sigh* #
After this restore, I’m NOT going to restore from a backup. Start clean, then sync stuff over. What I should have done in the first place. #
Plan Restore-but-don’t-load backup was successful. Data synced back over, syncing media now. None of the hiccups I was hoping to squash yet. #

My iPhone 3G has been behaving MUCH better after restoring to 5A347 and not restoring a backup. No freezes/reboots, location working great. #
